DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY

All directives explain how the Declaration of Conformity has to be drawn up.

It has to be contained in the technical file and always has to include:

– manufacturer’s data and its legal representative;

– the general description of the product;

– the directives and regulations that the product respects;

– production data (lot, batch, registration number, last two digits of the year of production, voltage where relevant, power where relevant);

– date and signature of the legal representative.

The Declaration of Conformity is necessary, but it is not sufficient, it does not replace and must not be confused with the CE Marking.

Note: in construction products and only for them, the Declaration of Conformity is replaced by the Declaration of Performance.
